problem solver | investigatorOver the past four years developing the CBS4 Problem Solvers franchise from scratch in Indianapolis, I've learned that viewers are in need of an advocate who will listen and strive to help them. Television news may be changing, but journalists are needed as much as ever. I've grown Problem Solvers into an identifiable brand and in that time, I received three Emmy awards and back to back Associated Press awards for Best Community Impact. With nearly 15 years' experience as a reporter in a rapidly changing industry, I've learned how to combine storytelling, visuals, and documents in a way that has drawn viewers to turn to us for their news and for help.

about me
After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Missouri with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Art History, I began my career far from home in the mountains of Burlington, VT. Three years later, I moved closer to family in Indianapolis to work at the station where I had once interned, FOX59 News. Over nearly nine years in Indy, I have helped launch multiple hours of news at FOX59, as well as played a part in the launch of CBS4 when we became a duopoly. In 2017, I took on the task of launching CBS4 Problem Solvers as a new brand in the market. I continue to report and produce weekly content, as well as in-depth consumer and investigative reports. I've found a particular passion in the research and advocate work that I do for CBS4 Problem Solvers, and I have taken advantage of data journalism training offered through IRE, including through a boot camp scholarship in 2018. In my spare time, I enjoy attending live concerts, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with my tight knit family.
